We have experience many customers coming to us for help and seeking assistance to rectify poorly installed rainwater tanks and plumbing by unqualified persons, which in some cases can lead to various problems, health, mosquito infestations, water around footings etc which can lead to termite problems.

Maintenance Programmes

Tankbusters also offers regular service and maintenance programmes - (monthly, quarterly, bi-annually or annually)

Available on an agreed regular basis or by contractural arrangement providing a maintenance service to ensure all your rainharvesting fittings, fixtures, gutters, etc are working effectively.

Service call includes cleaning overflows, first flush devices, inlets, testing pump operation & inspecting to ensure that your system is operating. Guttering and downpipe maintenance & cleaning also available.

Programmes are designed to suit your individual needs and situation, depending on the system installed.

Available from $50 a service call.

NB: Tank maintenance programmes can also be teamed in conjunction with our plumbing servicing programmes if required.

HOW MUCH WATER DO WE USE?

A tap dripping at one drop per second wastes up to 20 litres per day.

As a guide a typical household will use the following:

TOILET - 13 litres per flush (200 litres per ho usehold)	LEAKING PIPE – 300 litres per day from a 1.5 hole
BATH - 50 to 120 litres (half full)	GARDEN SPRINKLER – up to 1500 litres per hour
SHOWER - 40 to 250 litres (8 minute shower)	CAR WASH WITH HOSE – 100 to 300 litres
CLOTHES - automatic machine 73 to 265 litres	TOP UP A POOL - up to 3,000 litres a month (average)
